Privacy policy

What data this website collects, why, where it is kept and for how long. How the Sayfare app handles your privacy is described on the home page. The Slovenian version of this page is the binding one.

Who runs this site

The website and the Sayfare app are made by Vid Zadnikar. For questions about your data, write to me at wayfarestudio1@gmail.com.

What I collect

  • If you sign up for the beta: your email address, the language of the page and the time you signed up. Nothing else.
  • To stop the form being abused, the server counts sign-up attempts from the same IP address in the current hour. I don’t store the IP address, only a hash of it with a random key that changes every day. This record isn’t linked to your email address. When someone submits the next sign-up, all such records older than two hours and the keys from previous days are deleted.

The site uses no cookies, analytics, ads or trackers. Fonts and scripts are on the same server as the site, so your browser doesn’t contact any other servers when you visit.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details when you visit so it can send you the page, and handles them under its privacy policy. The download buttons lead to GitHub, where the GitHub General Privacy Statement applies.

Why

I only use your email address for the beta invite and Sayfare news. I don’t sell it or give it to anyone else. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by signing up and can withdraw at any time. The attempt records exist only to keep the form usable and free of spam. Their legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping bots from abusing the form.

Where the data is

Sign-ups are kept in a Cloudflare D1 database on my Cloudflare account.

How long

I keep your email address until the end of the beta or until you ask me to delete it, whichever comes first. Attempt records and the keys from previous days are deleted at the next sign-up, as described above.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to wayfarestudio1@gmail.com. If you think I’m not handling your data properly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.

Changes

If any of this changes, it will be written on this page. Last updated: 26 October 2026.
